OPCA 11th Annual Golf Tournament Recap

The OPCA would like to thank our members and friends for attending the 11th Annual OPCA Charity Golf Tournament held Friday September 27th at the Tyandaga Golf Course in Burlington! This was a return to the course in Burlington and we once again had great weather for the event. The OPCA would like to thank the 60 golfers who attended and everyone had a great day of golf on what felt like a summer day. It was nice to see everyone again after the summer to enjoy a day of golf together to benefit a great charity like Threads of Life.

Threads of Life is a national charity that is dedicated to helping Canadian families who have been affected by a workplace tragedy, life-altering injury or occupational disease. It currently provides a network of hope and healing to more than 1,700 family members through one-on-one peer support, links to other community support services and the opportunity to take action to help prevent similar tragedies to other families. The OPCA would like to thank Threads speaker Tracey Csordas for attending and sharing her family’s story.

The OPCA is a long-time supporter of Threads of Life and has now raised over $97,000 to date.  We are proud to support such an important organization and be a partner in endorsing safety in the workplace.

Thank you to the following hole sponsors!

Thank you to Waleco, Franklin Fueling, Canada Brokerlink and STEMCAN for providing additional monetary and prize donations!

A special thank you to David Mason of Canada Brokerlink for sponsoring the hole in one prize of $50,000! While there were some close shots, we didn’t have a lucky winner this year.

We are thrilled to have raised a grand total of $10,900 for Threads of Life!

The OPCA staff and Board hope everyone stays safe and healthy, and we will see you again next year!
