OPCA Members Tee Off for a Cause
Annual tournament builds on $100,000 milestone for Threads of Life

The OPCA hosted its annual Golf Tournament on September 12th at Tyandaga Golf Course in Burlington. With over 90 players in attendance – a record turnout – the event was a tremendous success.
Together, we raised an incredible $15,000 in support of Threads of Life, an organization that assists families affected by workplace tragedies, life-altering injuries, and occupational disease. Supporting Threads of Life reflects OPCA’s strong commitment to safety and reinforces the importance of fostering a culture of prevention in our industry.
We were honoured to welcome Georgina Murphy, Regional Development Coordinator for Central Canada at Threads of Life, who spoke about the impact of OPCA’s support and highlighted that our members have now contributed over $100,000 to date.
The day was filled with great camaraderie, friendly competition, and plenty of fun. Congratulations to all our tournament winners! While no one walked away with the $50,000 hole-in-one prize sponsored by BrokerLink, the contest added plenty of buzz to the course.
Players also enjoyed testing their skills in the putting contest, where everyone competed for a Yeti cooler prize.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who joined us for this special event – and an extra thanks to our generous sponsors, whose support makes this tournament possible year after year. We look forward to building on this momentum and seeing even more of you next year!
